Our Northern Maryland Board

Meet those who serve our ministry

 George Buckless

George retired as Managing Director for Lincoln Financial Advisors after a more than a 50 year career in the insurance and financial planning business. While active in the business world, George served on numerous charitable boards, in addition to serving on the Board of Visitors and Governors of Washington College.
Athletics and Christian faith have always played a major part of George’s life. Growing up in Baltimore County, he attended Overlea High School, and following graduation attended Washington College. He played soccer basketball and baseball, and was inducted in the Overlea and Washington College Athletic Hall of Fame.
After being introduced to the FCA at Washington College, George and several Harford county friends started a FCA Adult Chapter in Harford county in 1982.
George resides in Bel Air with his wife Betty having raised two boys, Dave and Tim. Both boys played sports throughout their high school and college careers. Coaching the boys through out their playing days has always been a real blessing.

George and Betty attended Bel-Air United Methodist Church for 35 years and participated in several mission trips, Bible studies, and were active in the church choir. Currently George and Betty attend Mountain Christian Church and have been blessed to be involved in their Sports ministry, Bible study, and various volunteer activities.

Having an opportunity to serve on the local FCA board would be an honor and a privilege. The influence of young Christian athletes in our high schools and colleges is critical in our culture of today.

Lisa’s motto that she tries to live by is “Love God, Love People and Serve the World.” Lisa is honored to be on the FCA board. She sees the value that FCA brings to the community.
